Full disclosure: I'm a total fanboy. Jim Butcher is one of my favorite authors and his writing is just a delight to read. I was pleased to see that his work translates well into graphic novel form so even though I'd read the original version of these comic adaptations, they were still excellent reads. I can't wait for more original stories to come out in graphic novel form. My one major criticism (which dropped it a star) is that the stories were poorly edited. I found several glaring typos that kinda took me out of the moment. Maybe that bugs me so much because I edit for a living so I'm trained to spot errors, but professionally produced works should really go through the wringer when it comes to that sort of thing. Still, typos aside, it's a great omnibus and worth buying.
Beautiful illustrations with deep color transitions. And who doesn't love a good Dresden tale?!?!?! Excellent read, my boys have read volume I & II and are asking when I will get more. Thank you, Mr. Butcher, for helping my kids love to read as much as I do.
If you're a fan of the books, you'll love the comics. You get a change to get more Harry Dresden and you also get to see what people you've been reading about for years actually look like.
Love everything about this. More stories about a character that I love... and in a genre that I previously loved separately.
